Current site measurement
The site uses PostHog for cookie-free page views, bounded interaction events, and field Core Web Vitals. Measurement covers the main site, the Quantitative Markets & Institutions Lab, and Theoria. It does not identify visitors, set analytics or advertising cookies, capture form values, record sessions, use heatmaps, enable vendor click autocapture, or create person profiles. Do Not Track is respected. PostHog is configured to discard stored client IP data. The hosting provider may still process standard request logs for security, reliability, and delivery. No advertising cookies are intentionally set.
Measurement scope
Measurement includes page views; navigation, research, library, featured-work, contact, outbound, social, and document-download actions; interface controls; 25, 50, 75, and 90 percent page-depth milestones; 10, 30, 60, and 180 seconds of active visible-page time; and Core Web Vitals. Events contain only a defined event name, normalized path or destination label, coarse viewport class, the referring domain, allowlisted campaign labels when a visit began from a campaign, and the relevant bounded metric. URL queries and hashes are removed, full referrer URLs are discarded in favor of the referring domain, and email addresses, form contents, typed text, and direct identifiers are excluded. Local development and preview deployments do not send production analytics.

Signups have not opened, so no page asks for an email address and the site stores none.
Browser storage
The site keeps two small records in the browser’s local storage, not in cookies. One is the Night setting, once a visitor changes it. The other notes how a visit began: campaign labels, the entry page, the referring domain and a content identifier, kept for 90 days from the first visit and sent with the events above. Neither holds an email address, a full referrer or any other query value, and clearing the site’s data in the browser removes both.
Third-party libraries
Some Lab pages load open-source libraries for mathematics and charts from public content networks: KaTeX from jsDelivr and Plotly from Plotly’s own network. Those providers receive the request a browser makes for each file, including its IP address.
Contact email
Email sent through the contact link is handled by the sender’s and recipient’s email providers.
